Initial consultations:

Initial consultations will require a referral from your GP (which are valid for 12 months), a specialist (which are valid for 3 months) or from an Emergency doctor (also valid for 3 months). An extended time period is allocated for an initial appointment and as such a higher rate is charged.

Subsequent consultations:

You may be required to return for follow-up appointments with Dr Marchant. These reviews are often to discuss investigation results and to review your situation and management. These consultations are usually shorter in length and a lower fee is charged for these visits.

Payment:

All consultations conducted in Dr Marchant's private rooms are required to be paid at the time of consultation. Cash, cheque, credit card and Eftpos facilities are available for this purpose. Should your condition be a Workcover or Third Party approved injury, your claim number, case officer and all relevant information will need to be supplied at the time of consultation.

What to Bring:

It is important that for your initial consultation you bring along a current doctors referral, as this will allow you to claim a rebate from Medicare for your consultation. It is also important to bring along any scans or X-rays relevant to your current upper limb condition and any previous information on your condition should you have received any treatment prior to your consultation with Dr Marchant.
